Anne is a freelance writer who lives in Queenstown, Maryland. She has contributed many articles to several Maryland magazines including What's Up Annapolis, What's Up Eastern Shore and Chesapeake Bay Magazine. She's written on topics dealing with education, history, boating, health and gardening among others.

After retiring from the field of education, where she worked as both a high school English teacher and a school social worker, she decided to pursue her first love, which is writing. She's been in this profession for six years. In addition to writing non-fiction articles, she's also working on a book for young adults.

In her spare time, she enjoys swimming in her back-yard pool, gardening, taking a walk, or kayaking in one of the many rivers that wind through Maryland's Eastern shore. Often she gets writing ideas during these activities.

Her family including four small grandchildren and a rather unique husband, round out her life and also provide her with lots of story -telling opportunities.
